Below is a summary of the pilot application for the HKUST SuperPOD from the Provost Office to all faculty members. Please refer to the original Provost's email for details.
To help HKUST researchers to have a jumpstart of their AI-enabled projects and facilitate their exploration of the full capacity of the HKUST SuperPOD system, a six-month free pilot use period from February 1 to Jun 30, 2024 is now available for applications.
For colleagues who would like to use the facility during the pilot use period, we invite you to provide more details about your AI-enabled research projects using an application template (available from the original Provost's email). Please keep your proposals concise and focused, aiming for a length of approximately two pages. A University-level Review Committee will be set up to review the applications based on the following criteria:
- Readiness of the dataset
- Scientific significance
- Expected deliverables (e.g., publications and other outputs)
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with the submission deadline set on the third Monday of each month, starting on January 15. For the first round of submission, please complete the template and submit it to provost@ust.hk by January 15, 2024. Successful applications will be announced near the end of January.
